We label each product with one of the following terms, to explain to you, our customer, how we are able to offer such a low price:
Closeouts - First quality items which are not included in the manufacturer's new product line, often due to a minor change in color or design. They are sold at very large discounts.
Overstock - Always first quality products, we buy these items when a manufacturer's inventory is too high and has to be drastically reduced.
2nds/Cosmetic Blems/Irregulars - These products contain minor cosmetic flaws or slight irregularities, which do not affect the fit, performance or longevity of the item. A SMALL flaw means BIG savings. Label is usually clipped or marked by the manufacturer.
Special Make-Ups - Sometimes we feature items "by SIERRA TRADING POST." Keith Richardson, owner of Sierra Trading Post, has been going to Hong Kong for over 20 years and has built personal relationships with several factories that make some of the finest names in outerwear and catalog retailing. Inevitably they accumulate leftover fabric from these programs. We have that overstock sewn into classic styles during factory's slow periods at greatly reduced prices. These items carry our own label, but we show the comparable retail prices you would have originally paid. These items are hand picked by Keith as the best deals available.
